radiant blue

by Peter Humphreys

outside
as wailing winds
they storm
so strong
the seagulls
silent stay
within
the warm red walls
of
ancient sand
crafted by
a masons' hand
the gentle touch
of God
is felt
as one by one
as one
we heal
amidst the
radiant blue

Author's Note: With one of the harshest storms in a decade raging outside, I visited Liverpool Cathedral, which is an immensely calm inner space, to heal and pray. This short sketch is set in the Lady Chapel

And we really do need to come together as one so we can heal! MFS

...this is like a ticket home; the home we all long for especially as storms of all sorts rage. Thanks.
