Furies rode in cresting bounds

Her eyes search round the corner
The posts did not name it
The cobbles did not hold it
The echo in her mind
Best to teach

The meaning of her name.

The light flashed it warning to her
The wheels answered her heel
Heedless of the moaning
In haste she flew
Tears in eye

The screaming of her name.

The fields stretched beyond her dawn
Beckond the endless spider webs
Glistening in the last morning dew
The way she went

The last torment of her name.

The grip on life was firming
The moon was still her answer
The corner was turned in anger
On she went manic traveler
Breath gasping
Then knew
The calling of her name.
Dream

The silence of the moment waking
The earth was still there reaching
The tree lined road was ending
She was returning

The honor of her name.

The pavilion showed its golden fabric
The day was here at last established
Just barely after the night had held her
Holding her captive in its darkness
He was freeing her
Love was ending

The final taste of her name.

The dune sand was now widely scattered
In an instant it happened that nothing mattered
In a hole that swallows all about it
Fingers see desperate on the edge
Frantic snatching
Then knew
The quiet of her name.

Stone
Cold was now the universe in its touch
Gathered all the flowers there to crush
Marking the passing of the endless hoard
Scratches made upon the minds pine board
Dropping into the hole
Dirt cast in
Then knew
The vanishing of her name.
