Specialty Coffee by Nicole D GregoryIt's the aroma you smell
long before you
enter
Exotic Brew
Liquid Velvet
Today was not the day to order
the regular pour and go
coffee
Oh no
You wanted more
The coffee made from the
finest hand picked beans
grown in paradise
Well rounded ~ Deep roasted
Rich flavor
This time you will request the server
to make it just like you've
heard before by the
GQ regular always three customers
ahead ~ envy no longer
his European accent
and use of an added
dash of flavor
making him the one
you want to be
When he walks out they all
watch
Today it will be you
The coffee that is made in the French press
Poured like a goddess into her dress
Served up so hot that the white steam
swirls slightly above the brim
and curls down ~ warming
the hand with damp kisses
Java and Jazz
The rhythm of the cream
swirls in ~ mouth watering
Bite your lip
just before the pink inner skin
is caressed in a bath of
flavor causing you to shiver
Your tongue finally knowing
that each bud is in full
blossom
Seduction that sneaks up behind you
The rest of the patrons would
watch as you held this beverage
rarely made
Eyes fixed as the Orderer becomes
the accessory
Walking out with such
a hot commodity
Michigan Avenue is jealous
The Magnificent Mile
cannot go on long enough for
the aroma to window shop
Now the vendors all want to
serve the cup holder
It's a great façade
the way the full blend attracts
the senses
Its not an acquired taste
Its everyone's desire
But today the server says "no"
Not at this time
You're just a regular Joe
