You Know it's Love by Erin Jones
You know its love
when it hurts so much
just to breathe
you want to stop.
When it hurts every time
your heart beats
and the blood rushes through
you just wish it would stop.
When you feel it
in every cell of your body
but you just can't stop.
And that's on a good day.
On a bad day,
the only thing you can think of
is slitting your wrists,
and the thought doesn't stop.
And when you finally try,
the razorblade is too flimsy to cut deep enough
no matter how hard you try,
but you still don't stop.
It hurts so bad,
every drop of blood feels like a sword
ripping through your bones
and it just won't stop.
The tears feel like acid
streaming down your face,
searing your skin with every drop,
but you just can't stop. 03/05/2008 Posted on 03/06/2008 Copyright © 2024 Erin Jones

Posted by Coleman Demiurge on 03/06/08 at 05:52 PM Acording to this Love sounds to be rather painful; yeah, I think you might be on to something there. Well said, well written, well done... I particularly liked these lines: "The tears feel like acid, streaming down your face, searing your skin with every drop." |
