2. connections under a new moon by Julie Adamswe random stars
spinning
in the gaping universe
a metropolis, we each
traveled the globe, right into now
roaming, merrymaking
herds of us
bestowing our collective bounty upon all
the land
each other
ourselves
we offer to the starlit sky
...
a calling, gathering, collaboration, we meld
into the night
into shared sands
into a reality beyond foresight,
where
instinct
treks us through the dark
none need worry, here
we are safe,
sifting among intrigue and unknown friends
...
the black sky
looses its power over the eye
over time
perhaps, she reveals her true nature to us
sun flame-fired offerings
like the feast we shared
all night
through the ripe third hour past noon
it all ended
too soon, too soon
...

Posted by Scott Utley on 03/07/08 at 02:43 PM this is is the work of a mystic who is in the process of becoming the woman she was meant to be - the sublime paint stroking on the canvass of your heavenly sky - the enigma of not really knowing what lurks in this eve and morn you descibe allows me to insert/infer my own constellation of ? what? love? mouring? joy? the gift here is your exsquisite use of our stunning language to air-brush astral dreams - to critque such work - in this case - is pompous and impossible - it is perfect in the eyes of my blurry eyed soul - your other poem - anger - I wanted simple things like separating streelight or ? I think that was what you used - mainly grammer - that was what I wanted to see clearer - that's just me - a third grade education - oh well - what I felt there was a profound love - anger just a guise --you are a unique talent with a future as bright as orion on the fourth of july - 'from this momonet on - thou shall not doubt for a moment that what you are doing is immensely important and gracious and kind and healing and never will the day come when you doubt this' (oooops i believe I just channelled a being to you ) perhaps i am nuts or ... otherwise - i am simply aa guy that wants to help people with vision save our world - i am concieted and hopeful enough to know that I can because I can see - i have the vision - as we all do - to one extent or another- aloha from Hawaii 9 you asked for specifics is critques, I am noyt one who is good at that - I either love or feel off about a piece ) this is the only thing I can say about this piece I just read -it's more than a mouthful but thank you for reminding me to be kind and loving ) and TRUTHFULL Scott |
