little things lately

by Quinlan L Gibson

Lately something broke
i'm choking
on what to say; what will
the day bring?
Aggitation or sedation
pacify,
don't cry;
don't try
to analyze.
Fly by the seat of your pants and
lead your dance then
sleep at night,
continue your fight, yet
sympathize
and realize
how good it really is.
Little things don't mean so much; still
get his touch,
every morning,
every night.
He is everything
that's right, just wound
too tight; Soft and mighty
he just loves me...

Plaintive but certainly lyrical and I hear gentle guitars in the background. This poem also has an appeal for everyone who feels that way, as we all do sometimes.
