Pandered Moments of a Nightime Boy

by Matt Forget

Faced not far from where we stand
An open floor waiting for rhythm
Packaged sensations
Actioned moments

There we stand
Awaiting who may approach
Asking for that next dance
To take your heart beat to the next level

Late the night has become
As happy as you all may be
Now adventurous and mischievous
Hoping he will go home with you

A kiss or two in grinding patterns
Opens your eyes to him
Feels the sweat beating off his body
Grab his hand to get your coats

And suddenly
You stand there alone
Can't see where he has gone
Castrated thoughts of what was

Turned around
Laying before you
Another road to take
As you return to play it all again.

Author's Note: It's evident as to what this could possibly be. I saw it last night. I witnessed it first hand and it's a continuous revelation that intrigues my every desire to visualize the next move in a fortifying pick up.
