everyone's still dying
trying
making a dime off lying
so what's the use of writing?


everyone loves a drink
on the brink
of saying something that makes you think
we all know you just need to give a little wink.

everyone's still scared
impaired
remembering when they cared
now hoping that they're going to be spared
