from "Randsberg" to "Majestic Roots" by Kathleen Wilsonin "Randsberg" one red visitor
set into empty green hills
a match
for this town's inner fire
"Utah" constructs itself
from the white interior
of its own imagination dreams
trees into its golden hills
on "Island Shore"
where my boat waits
I watch the palms that grow to try
to equal their own shadows
in a "European Garden" the order
steps away to view itself
the gold lit potted lonliness
of beauty
in "Monument Valley" the space
of everything is witness
to formal conversation
amidst cloud stone and sky
this "Woman in Cape" only she
is draped her sideways glance
turns to bare branches
in the still green hills
"Sycamore on the Diamond Bar"
peeling bark reveals what open space of light
has come to inhabit this tree
shedding shadows upon shadows
birds are brushes on "Pebble Beach"
as if an oriental landscape
the wind catches its own dark stroke
waves on white page of sand
"Canyon Rapids" speak the loud moment
caught in silent admiration of itself
smiling an implied roar
from ear to eye
"Majestic Roots" hint and blush about
what's going on underground the reaching
for moisture like words it covers
with carved carverned visible reality 02/12/2008 Author's Note: more inspired by Milford Zornes at the gallery
