from"Mt Whitney Falls" to "LA County Fair" by Kathleen Wilsonviewing "Mt Whiney Falls"
metaphor is speechless
before the silent roar
alone through rock
"In the Garden Habana" branches
are inner paths aglow my arms follow
as I fit into the golden
mental space of tree
"Cuba" holds its breath
the moment pauses in a cart
pulled by a horse
between here and there
from this "The View Point"
let your eye be a bridge
of water into the open
white space beneath horizons
in "Claremont" a tree's eye
introspective view
pale buildings are unequal to its own
gold sap's inner flow
"On the Lake" one lonely boat
on shore in sunset's gold it waits
its emptiness
deeper than the river
in the "Ozarks"
a home in sunlight
gathers into itself
as shadows fall
at "L A County Fair" extravagance
of light and form distracts from the invisible
allows as if low clouds have come in from the sea
the mysterious calligraphy of conversations

Posted by David Garner on 02/12/08 at 09:15 PM beautiful. I love the line, as I fit into the golden
mental space of tree." I love each four lines, individual poems themselves, but a gallery of much more when grouped together. I felt like I was right there with you! |
