I am so very superficial,

So remotely shallow

That I don't know

If I could ever care for another.

(At least I'm friends with my mother!)
I never take a look

At much more than right before my eyes, I never know why, I just always seem to end up with someone who is terribly wrong for me when I let the woman who is right for me slip, slip, slip, drip away.

So imagine my surprise,

When love fails me again,

And again, and again, and again.
