I had such a headache.

"Kick in, kick in!" my thoughts screamed.

I was waiting for the drugs to kick in,

It took forever.

I lay down, got a cold compress,

Took some Darvocet,

Closed my eyes.

I hadn't been drinking

Had been barely thinking

As my head pounded.

Such a headache

My thoughts resounded

With a dull throb.

I went to a movie

To sublimate the pain.

"Oh, my aching head!"
