Lunar Strain

by Michelle Floyd

The cells separate and drift
to an unknown forcefield
as particles of translucent light,
seen only by the insular kin.
Tenebrous, fleeting, transient, irrevocable,
spheres descend, space extracts,
the arctic kiss.

Sometimes, in my head, I feel it -
Thrust into the star-molecules
and split into fractions.

You paint some amazingly rich images. Must be all that sharp as hell language you manage to fit into it.
