Because You're Not Beside Me

by Megan Guimbellot

It is in the mornings when I miss you most
and lately I've been at a loss for words
because theres something about your bone structure I cant quite get over
or the way that your hands traced circles on my skin
each night after ten.

And I'm not quite sure if you do, but i hope (andwishandpray)
I hope
you know I'd travel all those miles to be in your dreams and in your bed
and if maybe
just maybe
you have a thing for southern girls with dirty mouths and big smiles I'll trace the route from here to there
and meet you somewhere inbetween.

I'm not sure what about this grabs me, but it does.

You can feel a sense of longingness and hope with each word that is read. The last two lines are truly my favorite :)
