blindly chasing the elusive by Charlie Morgancity blocks of cold wind
shuffle me like cards;
petrify my future's day.
yesterday is safe;
historians will look
back and change it.
stopped clock, denotes the time.
time: a wayward subject.

the NYT crossword winks at me;
