Poetry Lost: distillations

by D. James McKee

I laid eyes on it
only once:
lost by careless key tap
or
whispering sleeve drift
over
button sea.

A glimpse of truth
no more.
Distillations of life

tumbling ice crystal winking
cobalt
canary
crimson;
morsing its intermittent rainbow
in all too ephemeral glory.

I can relate to this poem for sure! Inspirational nanseconds that evaporate before becoming substantive.
