Jasmine

by Joe Cramer

Jasmine reaches into my very soul,

Faint and crisp, white and fragrant,

Calling me into Spring.

Jasmine touches all of me.

I want to fill brown manila envelopes

Full of sweet, succulent jasmine

And send them to friends, former lovers,

Even the odd acquaintences.

If just to inhale this touch of Spring.

My spring

As jasmine reaches into my soul and opens me.

This is very pretty, it made me think of Summer on a really blistery Winter day.
