over it by Mary Frances Spencerfear
heavy walls
suffocating excuses
bury life
brick by brick
we entomb
mixing the sticky
mortar
anger frustration
with
jealous abandon
will we
crawl under
climb those ruins
break open
sweaty and dusty
tunnel through
lighten up
so feathered hearts
fly over
and view
piled wreckage below
seeking wind
the exhaled release
to float
on currents
intuition
trust
still anchored
but aloft
