Happy new year to all in your house
And bright wishes of prosperity too.
Remember the best of the year which has gone
And rejoice in the year that is new.

There'll be sunlight and shade in days yet to come
There'll be sorrow and joy in good measure
Remember in darkness we'll stand side by side
And in friendship come through it together.
