giving directions by Charlie Morgan
"are we going to use the book?"
poised like lion with a chunk of meat,
licking it before devouring it whole.
i don't know what question she wants answered.
the one on top or the one one below,
is she asking, "do we have to buy it?"
with that "why?" looming at the question.
it's just a book, or i don't read
or you can't learn anything from a book,
or i don't read, or what?
she seemed a little confused when i told her,
"the registrar's office is on the first floor.
you can drop the class there, hurry!"
