emotional zoo

of control
escaped emotions
running wild
broken out
unlocked
like primal animals
threatening
to overtake
civilized behavior
some claws
have left marks
on the sweet
and unsuspecting
so now
all I can do
is leave the doors
open
so a few
of the good ones
can return
and curl up
into this
mortal
coil
of
forgiveness
