Silly Wonder Full

by A. Paige White

In our wonderland
the gentle snows fall softly
in this moment
I am the waiting

In this moment
you are the falling
softest lace
such chilling grace

of welcome
Fields so white
to new harvests

Author's Note: It's snowing! It's probably no big deal to most of the nation but when it accumulates to a couple of inches in south Mississippi, we all lose the years and become wide eyed children. Snow ball fights and silly small snowmen chiseled from hoods the greatest work of art we've ever seen.

Jarrods hairy snowman!
Jarrod's hairy snowman

Omigosh, you've got snow?!! Well it certainly did inspire..."softest lace/such chilling grace"...very nice.

your poetry is always so fun and amusement park ride-y. you make the sometimes moribund seem like a great time even. this is no different considering i despise the snow...here you've given me a slight appreciation for one of my worst enemies. :] well done sister...
