In Reticence by Joe CramerIn reticence, accused of nakedness
Unrevolting rhyme, left without bliss
The word written forth, with nary remorse
Sharing joy anew of this day,of course.
In reticence, escape to lands away,
If anything, just to hear them now say
Such said words, better yet left now unheard
Without a thought, or other single word.
I call to, such a muse of my soul
To speak your name when thoughts are fraught, grown cold.
Many things to say, more than man can tell
In the depth of dark night, you knew it well.
My naked heart is all that you can see.
What, I wonder, is to become of me. 01/18/2008 Author's Note: I promised a sonnet...

Posted by Laurie Blum on 01/19/08 at 02:42 PM I am glad your muse has inspired you. I enjoyed this sonnet very much. (Maybe because you used the word naked a few times) lol! |
