The Lie by Kenneth Laudo you
tickle yourself
downthere?
pupils of
perfection search my face
five teeth poking out of an
unencumbered
smile--
silence
rolls off my tongue, and
her lips spread wider--she
knows she has put her
finger on something,
something I cannot
hold back--those
eyes,
menacing brown dilations, find
solidarity in my own--
no
escapes into the air
with a click of my tongue,
but her eyes swivel away, swiftly
severing the inquisition--
she knows all to well
the world of lies, and the senses
they command--I am thankful
for a truth gleaned 01/16/2008 Author's Note: arg so if anyone reads this, feedback on the very end would be appreciated :)

Posted by Wendy Sparling on 01/17/08 at 06:00 PM Truth is I understand the question and answer and the answer. I cant find fault with any stanzas and I love the taboo subject. Very good, indeed! |
