The Love That Dare Not Speak its Name by Harold Millican
A love that baffles all understanding
A love that triumphs over all, very demanding
Very innocent and pristine, very gut-wrenching, very clean
A love very mature, not for small minds
Not all pretty
A tape worth the rewind
An emotional love that breaks labels
Never rocky, at times unstable
A love thatÂ’s not for politics
A love that is free
It needs not a vow or an explanation of how it came to be
When mocked this love is yet so strong
It may not feel like it belongs
Yet it has its own shortcomings
Its own essence and feel
Its own liveliness
It is real
In a world of labels and stereotypes
It struggles on a lone road
To find its own place and mode
It dares to dream dreams
To become more than it would seem
That one may be happy
And its price be redeemed
Sacrificed to closed-mind society
Never believed to be true is this unordinary love
