Show Me

by Harold Millican

Show Me

Show me
The sunshine
The sublime downtime of a natural you
Show me
The want the need
The hunger
That speeds from the lips of you
Teach me
Scratch on the magical chalked surface of my dream
And sink your teeth into my cell
Splinter
Crumble
Sparkle
Blackberry Jail
Digital confusion
Obtuse release
Show me your wandering
Show me blacks and reds
Checkerboard lights
Heaven in sight
Breakaway from the escape of the
Stripped caulking gun
Setting suns remain for naught
Show me
The world I have to see
With you as the headlock
Shock me with your touch
Electrify my skies
As I dream of visions comparable to Venice at sunset
Be my dream
Show me how to want you
And in this world
Of mathematical postulation
Stock market inflation
Music to SAVE a nation
I want you to show me
Help me believe in you
Make me cry
And fly all at the same time
And maybe just maybe I can
Accept the daydream that
Comes with my reality

This has a really nice spoken word vibe going for it, especially when it gets to what I think is a really great way to cap this one off. As always, you do great work.
