a cloak of sunlight

by A. Paige White

An unrealized alarm broke the night
five pieces past a darkened axis that taxes
a clock's mind seeking for the dawning
is it time?

Waiting but not counting
on a keypad fingers fly
and when the writer looks up
dayspring has exploded the sky
is it time?

Birdsongs write upon the breeze
a winter's chime:

lighting upon a listening ear

It is time
to sing
"Don't forget to take the joy that's in the trouble!"

No cloak of mourning for me!

Author's Note: Seeking an infusion of purity and strength by a magnification of Sonlight... so goes the morning... Bright!

this is so beautiful and the whole scenery you have generated here with your words and with the image is uplifting and glorious!
