Letting it all Go

by Anastasia Selby

I could be worried.

We've known eachother a few weeks and slept together maybe 20 times in the past
seven days.
We laid on my futon,
New Years Day and
talked in circles,
fucked,
talked more and fucked more
and then we slept facing eachother
naked.

What is this?

Really, what is anything but an effort
to be effortless.
I want you to want me
and you do;

at the same time,
I want not to want
because to want
makes me vulnerable
to your tactics.

If you have any.

You're five years
younger than me,
and I don't care.
I just want to lie in bed with you and laugh.

I want to not worry
about what this could
turn into.

So I won't.
