36 Hours of Unity

by Kourosh Taheri-Golvarzi

I wonder if I'm wise enough to see
How whole my heart is as I look upon
This girl so lost in slumber's entropy,
Bestowing love to all life, flor' and faun'.
For me, there's no dichotomy between
My list'ning to her breath with loving ears
And drinking with the gods beyond life's screen
Hallucinating us with prides and fears.
With each taste of her soft, red lips, I met
My Self inside while learning everything
Would be okay and never to forget
To let love tug my heart's old, rusted string.
And so, I let her have me now until
I move again for my nomadic will.
