"Why Your Delusions Became My Problem"

by Max Phineas

You hurt me worse
Than I thought possible
In ways most heinous
and juvenile.

I never did anything
to deserve what you gave
but my big mistake came
when I never forgave.

I blamed you for everything
I couldn't do
And for every friend I didn't make
That I'd claimed you stole

And sometimes you did
And you were well-liked

But I was alone.

My biggest regret,
Was stowing your voice
in the shadowed suitcase
And making you my baggage.

But I was alone.

What did you expect?
