Recreating me by Joy SyLeft the world I've known so long
Cause I've never felt I truly belonged
A stranger amidst family
Reached for a dream
a chance to live the life
Live my well-worn fantasy
A mixed blessing
this untravelled road
I'm learning way too much about me
Lessons that reminds me
"You're not all that"
I guess Life, thus far, had been easy
On shifting sands of emotion
I struggle to resist the temptation
And go back to where I used to be

Posted by Sigurdur Haraldsson on 12/30/07 at 10:03 AM A good one. I really enjoyed it and it makes for great reading on New Year's Eve ;)
You hit the nail right on the head there, I've been there myself and it is hard to change and you learn way too much about yourself. Good luck and a happy New Year. |
Posted by Paul Lastovica on 01/03/08 at 09:37 PM you can never truly "go back to where you used to be"...even if you could, it would not be the same as you remember it. Best wishes for the re-creation of yourself - the year is new, the time is right. |
