The You I've come to know by Alisa Jslook at you
yeah, you!
with that smile I've seen before
plastered wide for public show
bright and cheery, just so
that deprecating sneer
how long has it been since you've known anything real ...
I wonder what you'd do
if I walked a bit and peeled away
layer after layer and let expose
ooze and drip, nice and painstakingly slow
all you've managed to mysteriously let slide
and yet, inside I see
quite a different view
behind these barricaded corridors
counting, always counting
watching
waiting
those sneering slams
slice and divide
no one knows but me and I don't tell ...
what would they say if they only knew
of venom's lurking stare
malicious, behind that false facade
flawless face
jewelry always in perfect place
a different you, I'd perceive
full of dark devotion
you never showed, why
never quite revealed
tell me, can you grasp
gut wrenching blame
anguish that reveres your soul
stops your breath dead cold to hell and back
anything to penetrate
that otherwise perfect smile ...
