So this is your version of grown up...

by Kimberly Bowen

Seductive glances are all you seem to perform now
Twisting secrets, playing lies, Russian roulette of lives
You can’t see beyond your two sped knees
Unless they’re kneeling erect on the floor
Your provocative persuasion eyes send shivers
Down every man’s rigid spine yet chills this heart
Those arms that plastically held me as I cried
grip nothing but steamy intentions of your cold heart
Titillating attention always meant so much more
To your come hither smile, filled with false sympathy
Of sorrows you can’t seem to fake-ly find
Hold their hearts, crush and squeeze their lives
Only lusty erotic bleeds in your veins
Only ill-attentions and self seeking stimulation
Beats within your stone heart, hidden beneath
Hours of precisely placed smutty composure
You’ve sold your soul for their attention
Thinking you’ve integrated yourself into this new world
Selling companions for some false sense of pride
And you call me broken inside.

Emma, you let go with both barrels here and with intense honesty. Your use of vivid detail and alliteration is excellent. Welcome to pathetic.
