Hairy Holograms by Johnny CrimsonSmile at me in circles
Little motions you do with your face
Act like we are far apart
and prancing toward each other in slow motion
With each hop the fat
jiggles on our faces
and I can hardly wait
for our winter embrace
Closer now I'm reminded of our past
The subway saviors
Hopeless romantics
The night of the Gandhi's
when all the city went up in flames
You and I were there
But not leading the rebellion
No picket signs or AK's for us
Just simple sex on Brighton beach
As the thugs and wainos
watched and waved there chains and crowbars around
they made grunting noises
much like you
And I think to myself
It's a shame you didn't make it
that night
As I slowly run toward your corpse
on a beach I've kept away from
for far too long
