when listening to the bird whistle

by Eli Skipp

i always hated that canary winged conure of my mothers and when it got eaten by a hawk
that flew in through our screen which had been busted by a category three hurricane that
came out of the atlantic sometime in october (it was right around halloween
actually) and left us without power for three and a half weeks, i was glad.
