life goes on

by Charlie Morgan

winds of Rio strolled on toward the tail
of the day, ending in the Gobi by evening.
an over-the-shoulder look's the Sun's peek
keeps watch as the last of the zipper sighs.

one more day, another beginning; no end
in sight except in a million light-years
away in a future that has yet to be made.
an appeal is on the Earth's court docket.

trading hydrogen for helium, the Sun chugs.
one more millinium, one more Billy Graham
to combat the one more Judas; yin to yang.
entropy looking wildly for a prom partner.

Well done Charlie! Very enjoyable. Does the end ever come? If so when did the beginning start? And what does "forever" mean?
