rainy

by Mary Frances Spencer

trickle down
rolling crystal snails
glide beaded trails
along the glass

window
i write inside out
splattering constant
showers into widening
puddles

i shake
furry words flying
can’t get the tears
to stop

so tonight
this idea
wet and cold
pours out
like dark water

and joins
the sea
of salty dreams

Beautiful image of "crystal snails" and "beaded trails". Also love the "widening puddles" tonight!

Love the imagery and see you as the rain and the tears we all feel in life. Excellent as always.

I am such a fan of your poetry MFS! You know just how to create the most vivid images in a succinct form. I mean "rolling crystal snails" is a great visual. I am going to add this to my favorites.
