Torch

by Harold Millican

Sitting here in the a.m.
Wondering where you are
Longing for your kiss
For your embrace
I touch
I feel
I want, I need
The amber firelight
Is blinding me
I want you to hold me
To cast your eyes upon my face
My torch is still on full blast
Burning for you
So torture me, with your relentless push and pull
Give me your brightest smile
And love me for more than just a while
Spread your arms and pull me into the shelter of your house
Keep your eyes open
For I will wait for you
And you’ll remember me
Because I’ll never let die
My fire
My torch
My love for you
