Relentless Reminders by Erin JonesLooking at these marks
They stare at me
Eat at me
Continually
Remembering that day
The razor blade
Wasnt just for play
Anymore
The other scars have faded
But these, they remain
Staring at me
Continually
Eating through my skin
Life should have been over
I should have pressed harder
Should have cut deeper
But its too late now
And all that is left
Are these white, searing marks
Lying on my skin 12/09/2007 Posted on 12/09/2007 Copyright © 2025 Erin Jones

| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 12/10/07 at 05:53 AM I'm so glad you're here. Not that knowing that makes a big difference or any difference at all. But for your pain to have a voice, and to hear it as clearly as you say it, is just....no one else could say it the way you do. |
