snow shovel.

by Jared Fladeland

Remember when shoveling the snow was fun,
When we would pile up the snow in long drawn out tunnels,
making trenches, bunkers, command stations,
arsenals, and every thing else
a young soldier needs to survive a war?

Now as I shovel an escape tunnel from my car
to the house,
I find nothing but bitterness
for an activity I used to have so much fun with
when I was five.

Ha ha ha!! I can relate! Fortunately we just got a brand new super-size snowblower...using that can be almost as much fun!
