Misdirection by Maria KintnerThis place is full
of tiny corners.
Little shelves
where we have left footprints
in dust.
Wrong turns reveal
whispered secrets, swirling
where they were spoken.
Their intended receivers long
since vanished into the past.
I am always drawn to this valley.
I am always pushing my way through the
labyrinth, long after the sun has set.
I can almost remember what it was
I swore to always feel.
Always until I discover another
betrayal, and I once again, lose my way.
I wish you would come to find me. 12/05/2007 Author's Note: I'm only satisfied because it's exactly what I wanted to say.
