Friend Ship

by Tony Whitaker

Friendship is
the ship that sails
cruising
this callous course
of life
never daunted
by the gusty gales
blowing bitter winds
of strife

So if someone
calls you “friend”
today
revere this
sloop with pride
for never
may one ask in life
than a mate
through changing tides

To quote Chelle, this gave me the "warm fuzzies". As chilly as it's been here lately, that's a prized feeling to boast! (she grumbles...as she eyes the vent duct that da boss is currently chillin her with.... grrrr buncha darn polar bears, runnin the A/C in December)
