aye (december)

by Maria Massarella

calendar says it's december
but i could argue that today ha!

wind dispersed yesterday's naturale
nebulous silkskin moisturizer

instigating an audacious smile
to spread itself on my face

stretching defenceless lips
lightglowing eyes 'cos yeah

skies are impeccable azure
and sun's goldenness exults

fervant heart ... methinks the
verdant specks in my eyes saw

the tree outside the balcony
quiver a gasp for he like me

scented in this prewinter day
the kiss of glorious spring

I love the mix, the "kiss" of it all, and especially the language, the easy "ha" and "yeah" mixed with the more lofty "methinks"!!

i really miss reading you. i'm glad i saw you on again and stopped by. it's really so lovely. so evocative. your verbiage is so classy. that's the best word for it: classy. it's really such a nice read.

This one is so very beautiful, Maria as all your work is... my only question is why haven't you stopped by or commented on my work? They are lonely without your wonderful words of wisdom...sending you warm thoughts for the holidays that are upon us.. alisa ;-)
