All that nervous panting you do!

by Johnny Crimson

I wrote "do over" on her face
and smiled my way back to the ferry
She was cold there in that puddle
Twitching and reaching
for one last embrace

A final death to summer
Clawing our one last ooh rah

I can see those miserable twigs
that float around her body
Swimming toward the hint of a spark
that might light their way out of oblivion
The twigs crawled up in her
for what was left of the summer heat

Her voice box duct taped taped to a box of chocolates
is on its way to her parents house
And I just pray it will tell of her story

How she saw a doe and then chased after
They pranced together until the moon
made his appearance

That funny doe unzipped his warm coat
And out crawled a man
Who was just dreamy right?
