"See Her in Her Diamonds"

by Cristy M.

Sitting pretty on this trash heap
is she, marvellous and dainty
with all the carvings-out of a birthday cake,
a tiara on the mantle. Oh, angels!
Oh, spawn of wait-for-it, wait-for-its!
Hush, we think our next prince nears.

Sitting pretty on this trash heap
is she, pucker-kissing into the air
so subtle and divine
inspired by the very gods that sired her,
the goddesses that bore her out of a looking glass.

Oh, sweetheart with such endearing gestures,
can it be so sweet?
Oh, sweetheart with such affections,
can it be so sweet?

She is such a wretched state of all the girls who're lovely
on her throw-away kingdom's throne,

and she is so darling waiting there, anticlimactic.
