Let Go by Harold MillicanLet Go
I view the world as a beautiful disaster
A solid mass of worthless matter
The only treasure I see to hold
Is not of silver not of gold
Not of wrong
Never of whos right
But a peace, a true silence
A breath of understanding and light
Sometimes to find your niche
You have to take away
To find your own sense of bright color
In the darkest of days
Do you really want to know, what it takes to mature and grow
Just take away all the glitz and glamour
The phones, the lights, the worldly matter
Take it Away, Let it in, and Let Go.
Love yourself first, and quench the constant thirst
Within, for the healing to begin
Just Let it out, and Let Go
Who says we have to let life be
A constant struggle consistently
To find peace, and a basic release
We should take only what we need
Not intense feelings of a bitter seed
Indeed the time on Earth is bittersweet
And delighting in love brings contentment and relief
But the result only comes if we let the evidence show
With time and tenacity, the winds of our heart will blow
But whatever we believe within our hearts, can shine and glow
Well realize and one day well know that peace like beauty
Is present always like the shine of the sun or a gentle snow
But in order to feel the peace, we so innocently crave
We have to claim it, and seize hope
Like a gallant knight, or a humble knave
It has not to do with the literatures, the books, the synagogues, the temples,
The violence towards others we harbor, and talk
The true compassion of any love comes from the heart
The heart never chooses, it does what is true
The heart is not violent, for genuine love shines through
The heart can conquer anything, the love will always stay
The heart weathers all, come what may
The heart knows that love is beyond a meaning or definition
Or a principle, theory or a mental analysis or demonstration
All of this, at times, the mind never cares to know,
Because we refuse to turn our eyes from this growing animosity
And let our hearts grow
In time, I keep hope alive in my heart and believe
A new beginning is come
I know this may not ever be for some
But for the few that are listening to mankinds feeble cries
And wishing on a star in Earths night skies
This is the message I bring from my heart anew
Let in the love, Live, and Let live, and Let go
