Who are you?

by Harold Millican

Who are you?

Are you the problem? The confusion around
Are you the jewel in a saluted and respected crown?
Are you the person, with helping the world?
Or the person waiting for all the madness to unfold
Are you a great personality, a joy to be around?
Or do you become the thorn in the thicket waiting to take others down
Are you impressed with the possibility of what could be?
Or just depressed with this particular moment in history
Do you attempt to love and contact all that you know?
And help all others regardless of wrongs they show
Are you the one that would save a life having sympathy or pity?
Can the person you help have anonymity?
Or are you such a person that it matters about latter ID
Or past history
At the end of the day, if you are free to be
You should know who you are
No one says you have to love everyone
No one expects that of you
But if your life matters, should not someone else’s too

Wondrously melodious set of questions. Pretty solid inventory taken if a person stops a moment to reflect on each one. Very enjoyable read.
