hung out to dry

by Mary Frances Spencer

a vicious cycle
war tumbles endless
piles of dirty laundered money
death not rinsing
away
the wasted youths

media bleaching
white teeth
can’t speak
crooked truth

steams under
apparently not enough
to blow
the lid away

fresh foe
staining
us friends
hung out
to dry

Author's Note: Don't know if this is done yet....too succinct maybe? MFS

Outstanding! I enjoyed the succinctness... too much more could easily turn into a diatribe... perhaps in a later poem... outstanding choices in words and flow!!!

Really nicely written! This needs be read by a lot of people just as it is. Well done.

You've touched on a phenomenon that I've been thinking alot about lately, how we have so much technology at our disposal, and how information is nearly instantly available, and yet we're still able to adulterate what really goes on.
