White Porcelain by Elizabeth Hoadleylive in only moments
witness the space between
a ghost of vanity
is all that will beam
strong held tender
upon light's cast
sweet faced, curved vase
primmed not to waste
for you must last
sitting comfortably
upon this pedestal
higher than clouds
whose raindrops fall
despite the in spite
of us all
gleaming skin
of fragile glass
keeping within
a rugged past
forget not from
which you came
revived inspired
of all desire
no doubt nor shame
yes, you are white porcelain
petite and constrained
but the world whirls past
your beauty of everlast
in suppressing its depressing
conformities and disdain 11/23/2007
