Theories are Demanding

by P.T. Brooks

A tree fell in the woods
And I was there to hear it
But I won’t tell a soul

Cause if a heart breaks out loud
But doesn’t make a sound
There’s no reason she should know

Truth has a funny way of misleading
As smiles will deceive
Cause honesty is a guideline
And deception is a thief

But if the guideline is followed
And deception does conceive
Pre ordained ideas
That ties to make believe

Then there never was an answer
So questions have no use
And theories are demanding
Much to like a noose
